North Liverpool Mapping Project

This project provides an overview of current cultural activity in North Liverpool, and identifies how LARC could work most effectively with community and cultural organisations based or working in North Liverpool. Purpose of the research It is intended to inform the development of partnerships with other agencies and programmes working in North Liverpool, including Liverpool First (the local strategic partnership), Liverpool City Council, Liverpool Vision, Step Clever, and the Primary Care Trust. The final report was undertaken primarily to inform the development of the Liverpool Thrive programme, but will also contribute to Find Your Talent. The research was undertaken between September 2008 and February 2009. Exhibition showcasing work from North Liverpool

This exhibition at the Bluecoat is delivered in partnership with Liverpool PCT as the city celebrates the launch of a ‘Decade of Wellbeing’ in the North West. The exhibition includes: Photographs taken by residents of Anfield, County, Everton and Kirkdale representing a personal commentary on culture, life and local regeneration. Capacity Building Programme for North Liverpool

As part of its Liverpool Thrive! Programme, Liverpool Arts Regeneration Consortium has recently appointed The Hamilton Project to develop a tailored capacity building programme.  The team are keen to start meeting with organisations as soon as possible.   The Hamilton Project team will provide support to a number of community & cultural organisations in North Liverpool, helping build their cultural programming skills and working with them in securing resources for their creative ideas. North Liverpool Programme Sharing Events

During the North Liverpool mapping process carried out under LARC’s Thrive Programme a common theme came out from non arts-based organisations. Most stated that they would happily include artistic activity in their programming but they lack some expertise in either devising or delivering those programs. In response to this, the LARC Members proposed a series of events that will help organisations explore the possibilities in creative programming. The first of three linked LARC Programme Sharing Workshops took place in Liverpool Lighthouse on 7th May. These workshops represent an important development in partnership working in North Liverpool and form an integral part of the Cultural Sector Development Strategy being implemented under LARC’s Thrive Programme. They are designed to help LARC members and community-based organisations to develop partnerships with each other, align current programmes and create new programme ideas to potentially address social regeneration issues within North Liverpool.
