Galleries transform night-time Liverpool

Venues taking part included Tate Liverpool, the Walker Art Gallery, FACT, a host of smaller independent galleries and the Biennial visitor centre which staged torch-lit walks to locations featuring public art. The project aimed to get more people experiencing the city centre at night and help build visual arts audiences in the city and also featured screenings, talks, outdoor projections and a demonstration by 1,000 talking toys at the Royal Standard.
Audience research later showed that half those attending were people who did not usually come into the city centre at night while 85% visited a gallery they had not previously been to.
